OH MY GOD!! Battlestar Galactica tonight was AMAZING!! Except for the HUGE cliffhanger at the end. And to make things five billion times worse, the next new episode doesn't air for two weeks. Two weeks!! There's no new episode next week. That's evil!! Why the heck isn't Sci-Fi not airing a new episode next week? Why not just spit in my face and then rip out my still-beating heart? ARGH!!
Now that that's out of my system, I can continue my night.

Recently I've grown disenchanted with this account. It's been a good account, but I can't keep using it, I guess. I've created a new account.

Do not stand at my grave and weep
I am not there. I do not sleep.
I am a thousand winds that blow.
I am the diamond glints on snow.
I am the sunshine on ripened grain.
I am the gentle autumn rain.
When you awaken in the morning's hush
I am the swift uplifting rush
Of quiet birds in circled flight.
I am the soft stars that shine at night.
Do not stand at my grave and cry;
I am not there. I did not die.

I just found out why I haven't been getting any emails lately. On October 18th, Michigan Tech disabled my forwarding from huskymail to gmail. Without telling me. Apparently they did this with everyone who was using the forwarding. And told no one. Now forwarding is only available to pre-freshmen. So I've missed all the emails of the past five days. Fucking bastards. Who the hell was responsible for this? I missed five days of emails, and had to get them through huskymail, which is a fucking stupid email service. There's a reason I forwarded my emails. God damn it. My day just took a turn for the worse.
Fuck you, Tech. Fuck you.
Fuck you, Tech. Fuck you.

It's been one of those weekends. I've been busy and then not and then busy and then not. And I feel drained even though I haven't done a whole lot.
The NMU dance was ok. Nothing special. Free food, hanging out at the Flop House, hanging out with some NMU peeps, meeting some new people, and that was about all.
Haven't done much of anything today. Sat around the house, went out for dessert with Lucas and Rhiannon. Chilling in Wads now. My brain is all mushy.
Ooh, cute shirtless guys going to the sauna. That was fun. Too bad the path took them away from me before I could see much. Hehe.
Week 8 of this semester starts tomorrow. I start archery on Tuesday. I'm excited for that. I need to go to the SDC tomorrow to buy arrows. I'm really excited. I've always wanted to take some kind of archery lesson.
Well folks, that's about all I've got.

- Comment and I'll give you a letter.
- You have to list 10 things you love that begin with that letter.
- Afterwards, post this in your journal.
Shawna gave me O. I had fun looking up words for it. Here's the list:
1. Orgasms (Who doesn't like 'em?)
2. Orange (as in the colour)
3. Onomatopoeia (Yay sound affects!!)
4. Once More, With Feeling (I've got a theory...)
5. Obfuscation (Confused? Look it up.)
6. Oktoberfest (Ich bin Deutsch. Ich trinke gern. Es würde wunderbar sein, wenn ich für alle Oktober trinken könnten!!)
7. Onyx (Onyx is a friggin' awesome rock!!)
8. Oxygen (Duh.)
9. Organic Food (Mmm...) <-- Look, onomatopoeia!!
10. Old Buildings (The architecture and exploring them)
Also, I learned that omophagia (o mo fey jee uh) means the eating of raw foodstuffs, often flesh (or meat). When Lisa and I first looked up the word, the definition we got was the eating of raw flesh. We both instantly thought of cannibalism. Go us. We then got into an interesting discussion of what kind of sauce you should be eaten with. Lisa is ranch. Kristin is honey mustard. And, for some reason, both of them think I should be a duck sauce. WTF?? Haha.
By the way, Lisa and Kristin are other WC coaches that I work with. Yay crazy times at the Writing Center!!

I love how dorm food is the grossest stuff until you live off campus. Food always tastes better when it's free.
So, I'm totally rocking out in the biology lab. It's a lot bigger than the SS lab. Not any friendlier or more comfortable looking, though. But at least there aren't giant windows all around it like the SDC lab. (In case you were wondering, yes, I have access to all of them.)
Also, there are a lot of people in here. The SS lab usually has no more than two other people when I'm in there. Well, this is a bigger lab and major, I suppose.
Hmm... I dunno. xD

The Quincy Mine is cool.
Better than my basement.
I took a piece of basalt.
Alan Parsons Live Project was awesome.
And loud.
Very loud.
I broke a hundred tonight in bowling.
People shouldn't smoke.
My eyes really itch.
I've gotten a lot of free stuff this weekend, thanks to my mom.
Mary is as crazy as ever.
I now know how Adam felt that one time at my house.
My eyes still really itch.

You know, I used to hate WebCT with a passion (from my days of Calc I with Grand Rapids Community College). But so far this year, I have come to love it. It has not given me any homework or other crap, and has definitely told me that I got a 94/100 on my chemistry exam, and a 91/100 on my archaeology exam. Yay!!
So yes, I passed my arch exam. With an A. Because my teacher is awesome (in this case at least) and doesn't do the weird AB or BC stuff. I'm really happy, though. Because Tuesday in class he gave us a rundown of the grades (though we didn't get to know our own grades until this morning). There were 5 A's, 6 B's, 8 C's, 5 D's, and 4 F's. And I was like "Holy shit!" But I'm one of those five A's!! That made my morning.

Today was a... weird day. I started not good, but two presses of snooze fixed that amazingly. The weather today was that weird mist/for/not-quite-rain stuff we've had for a while. I like it, though. Cloudy days are always nice, to me at least.
I had my German test today. Easy as sin. Then we watched some more of a movie we started last week called Im Juli, which means "In July." Te scene we saw today was of the two main characters toking it up. It was a sight to behold. Especially in a German film in German class. Herr Adolphs is amazing, I must say.
The Female O was tonight. Hilarious, and still educational. I even learned some useful stuff. And no, I'm not all that interested in female orgasms. :p
Tonight was up and down. Y'know, happy, annoyed, happy, sad, calm, depressed, happy, blah. I blame Sha-chan and Mel. We've been exchanging emotions too much lately. Apparently I stole Mel's happy this morning. Oops.
Otherwise, this week is shaping up nicely. Yay no stress. Well, no lots of stress.

I forgot to mention, I got a 94 on my first chemistry exam!! I'm gonna make you proud, Sha-chan.

I feel good this morning. Which, if you know me, you should realize is weird. Because I'm not a morning person. But I feel good. And I like it.
I hope this week isn't as busy as last week.
I need to get someone to proof-read my Revisions paper still...
I wanna go back to sleep.
Heh.

So, yesterday I was panicking because I had so much to do and not enough time to do it all. I ended up writing my Revisions paper that I thought was due today at 11. Well, when I got to class, I looked at my syllabus. Turns out it's due next Tuesday. Go figure. So, last night I could have worked on my archaeology paper, instead.
It's ok, though, because I got my archaeology paper done as well. After reading and thinking about all the questions the prompt had, I realized it wouldn't be hard. And it wasn't. Also, I can now have my Revisions paper proof-read and stuff. I'm good at proof-reading, but I suck at grammar on my own stuff. So, maybe this is for the best. ^_^
Also, after my exam in an hour, I'm gonna be stress free until next week. This weekend I have to make an appointment to fix my car (finally), send in my camera warranty (finally), write my German paper, fix up my Revisions paper, fix up an old Revisions paper to make up points (I like my teacher), and relax. Lots of relaxing. I'm looking forward to it.
Also, hooray for no classes after 3 tomorrow. Too bad my one class after 3 tomorrow is German. Ah well.

Ahh!! Stress!! Today was, I believe, the first day I have ever had since being in college where I absolutely had no time to work on homework. I had to be up early today (relative to when I normally get up) to interview a prof in my department. I've been going since 9. I had about 20 minutes for lunch today. This is my second half hour break. I finished typing up the interview stuff. Now I need to write a 2-3 page paper on the interview experience, the interview itself, and the rhetorical strategies the prof and I both used. Among other stuffs. I also need to finish up last week's assignment that I didn't finish because I was sick. All to be turned in tomorrow at 11. And, if I still have time tonight (unlikely) I will start my archaeology paper. And, if I don't have time tonight (more likely) I'll do it all tomorrow after Revisions.
I have my prep chem exam tonight. I tried to study a little last night, and it was boring. I'm going to study tonight before it while I eat dinner in the Campus Cafe. I don't have time to walk home and make something and then walk back to campus for my exam at 6. Boo evening exams. And I have my archaeology exam tomorrow during class. And then I have a German exam next Monday. And a paper to write over the weekend for German. That I'm not so worried about. It's tonight and tomorrow that I'm stressing over. If I can just make it through to Friday, I'm all set. I only have one class on Friday because of Homecoming.
On a more fun note, we started talking a little about organic compounds today in chemistry. Not that I'll ever take Orgo, but it's interesting. Well, what little I know from Sha-chan is anyway. We also talked about the nomenclature of acids. I got as much as I could since I wasn't there Monday. Ah well, I'll look that stuff over after the exam.
Is it Friday yet?

Well, with the exception of "essential" departments, the Michigan state government has been shut down. That means no more liquor sales once the stores and bars run out, no more rest areas on the highways, and a whole slew of other things. Wonder what'll happen now...

You know, I haven't just relaxed and done nothing during the day in so long, I almost feel guilty doing it now. Thursdays I have Revisions 11-12.30, and then Prehistory & Archaeology 3.30-5. And in between I have nothing. No work, no office hours, nada. So, I've been in the CCLI for almost two hours now. Doing next to nothing. Just chilling and surfing the interblag. And I feel like I should be doing something important. Or just soehting. But, I don't have any homework for tomorrow, and the homework I got today in Revisions isn't due til next Thursday. I suppose I could be reading one of my textbooks or something, but I don't really feel like doing that either. Especially because I have class in like half an hour. I wouldn't get a lot done. Not that I'll get a lot doent his weekend, either. Sunday, maybe.
So, the KP retreat is this weekend. I'm really looking forward to kayaking. And the other stuff, sure. But mostly the kayaking. And hanging out with people. Especially if any of the new KPers are going.
Hooray kayaks.
A cute guy is sitting at the computer across from me in here.
I've apparantly slipped into stream of consciousness writing.
Oh, there was a photo opp type deal at the Writing Center today. So I "worked" for half an hour. Just to get my pic taken. Umm... That goes against my normal habbits, doesn't it? Also, I got my picture taken by Jill A. All of the coaches had/have to. So many pictures at one time!! I kinda liked the pic Jill A took, though.
Umm... I guess I have nothing to report. My stream of consciousness is running dry. Hehe. xD
